With the COPRAŽ MetalBender 2D it is not necessary to get familiar with the 3D design techniques which is usually connected with high training expenses.
A very powerful new feature is to do the basic design of a complex sheet metal bending part with simple 2D functions and get this part automatically converted into a 3D solid model. When switching to a 3D design this guarantees that the processing and flat pattern calculation of these already existing parts with COPRAŽ MetalBender 3D is possible. The flat pattern calculation is done automatically. The COPRAŽ MetalBender 2D includes all important methods for the calculation of the neutral line. Also company specific machine and material data for the calculation of the flat pattern and the elastic recovery can be defined and saved by the user. Based on the automatically created record file a cost estimation of the sheet metal part to be produced can be made. These informations can of course be placed in the drawing with the flat pattern to supply a complete manufacturing drawing to the shop floor. |

Software requirements |

The COPRAŽ MetalBender 2D requires: AutoCAD or Mechanical Desktop.
The Autodesk Products AutoCAD or Mechanical Desktop Software are not included in COPRAŽ MetalBender 2D and are required for the successful operation of CMB 2D. |
